We believe serving re-shapes us into the person God want us to be as we use our gifts and talents to impact the world around us and making a spiritual impact on the next generation. There are many fun and rewarding ways to volunteer in youth ministry. Leading a small group, making delicious meals, encouraging students in their relationship with Jesus, teaching or providing support during the week are a few of the ways you can serve. Parents, it is our desire that you pursue an active role in your students spiritual growth, intentionally taking the opportunity to influence your child’s faith as well as model the importance of serving. We encourage parents to volunteer in program when you can.

There are many areas to serve in the youth ministry (SunHouse) at La Jolla Presbyterian Church. Please select the area(s) that you are most interested in serving.

Sunday Mornings -10:30am on Sundays. Spending time with students, teaching students, or helping clean afterwards.

Sunday High School Program - Connecting relationally with high school students, helping plan/cook meals, playing games with students, planning events/curriculum writing, leading worship, teaching up front, small group leader or small group encourager.

Wednesday Middle School Program - 5-7pm. Connecting relationally with high school students, helping plan/cook meals, playing games with students, planning events/curriculum writing, leading worship, teaching up front, small group leader or small group encourager.

Small group leaders - Meet with students outside of regular program time to connect relationally, guide/mentor, teach, pray for or small group encourager.

Trip Leader - Attend one of our amazing trips with students to camps, mission trips, events and special programs.

Special Events Team - Help plan, organize, and implement special events, fundraisers, outreach events, and more creative and fun events.
