Each year we turn SunHouse into the "International House of Pancakes" to raise support and fundraise for our annual House Building Trip. We will be cooking up pancakes and TACOS!! While serving our guests, sharing our vision with congregation members, and hosting a silent auction. It's safe to say this event is delicious!
This fundraiser is vital in order for our team to afford building supplies for both homes and make the trip affordable for students. Students planning to join us on our trip are expected to participate in this event.

If you are attending the 2019 Mexico House Building Tour trip, one of your parents must attend this parent informational meeting. We will be providing a notary free for the meeting.
This will also be the mandatory meeting for the team. We will learn together skills for the site. We will be building a side of the wall together!

Over the week, you will be part of a team working to make a families dream come true. With hard work, sweat, laughter, and tools you will begin the process of building a house from a pile of wood and a concrete slab. You will forever be changed while change someone else’s life!
Check out our "House Building Trip" page HERE for more information and to register!

We understand that sending your child out of the country for a mission trip can make a parent/guardian a little nervous. You may have a lot of questions or just want to get the details of the trip. If that's you join us for our parent meeting! We'll make sure to answer any questions you have, tell you our vision for the trip, and explain what your student and our team will be doing for the week.
We do ask that if your student has not attended our House Building Trip before that a parent or guardian attend this meeting.
Have questions before the meeting? Contact Alex at Alexg@ljpres.org
A commissioning service is a sending. Since we are being sent by La Jolla Presbyterian Church, South Bay Young Life, and our families, this is a good thing to participate in.
We will be meeting in SunHouse at 9:15am. From there plan on walking in at the end of the first service, attending the second service and then just being in the beginning of the 3rd service. We will be done with the services by 11:15am and then SunHouse will buy you lunch! Woohoo.
We have shirts for all of you to wear, but if you already have a "Gonna Build a House" shirt, please wear that.
See you there.
