We love going all out for ministry! We want to give students an amazing experience about knowing who Jesus is, and having a lot of fun doing that. We believe that God created us to be creative, energetic, and find joy in serving the Lord. So we bring those very things God created us to be into ministry. We love it!
Here is a little bit about some of the things we do.
SunHouse Middle School ministry currently meets on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. The Middle School Director is responsible for running both of these programs, although most of the staff is present at each event to support and help out. Usually the staff creates a rotational speaking schedule as well so one person is not wholly responsible for speaking and teaching each week.
We currently have a girls small group for Middle School but want to create several more for both girls and boys. La Jolla is a difficult community to plan around with their busy schedules and homework, but the Middle School Director is expected to start/develop a small group ministry.
We also attend Winter Camps, Summer Camps, have lots of activities in the summer, and many other special events like paintball, broom ball, trampoline nights, nerf gun wars, surf trips, mission trips, service opportunities, and a bunch more.
This is really just a tiny bit of what some of the program looks like here at SunHouse. There is a lot more happening with volunteers, campus ministry, relational ministry, and all church activities that are great and important to what the overall ministry is about.
